Bowling Club News
The Girls High School bowling team was runner up this year at district tournament in Grand Island. Kearney girls and boys teams advanced from district to state competition as a wild card entry.
Competing at the Nebraska State High School Tournament February 13-14 in Lincoln, the Kearney Boy's team earned the top seed going into the single-elimination Baker format, but No. 8 seed Elkhorn defeated the Bearcats.
The Kearney Girl’s team was seeded seventh after qualifying and lost to Lincoln Southeast three games to one in the Baker format quarterfinals.
State High School bowling finals are to be aired Sunday, February 21st on NET1 and NET-HD Television.
The JV state tournament will be held at the Big Apple Fun Center in Kearney on February 21st, KHS will be represented by two boys teams.
We are very proud of our boys and girls bowling teams and their accomplishments this season.
Volunteering in the Community
The bowling club helped with Special Olympics on February 12th at the Big Apple. The group has shared many positive experiences from the day. The club will also take a tour of the Big Apple which was postponed from the February date to March 2nd at 6pm. KHS bowling club is open to all students.

High School Bowling Club
Kearney High Meeting: Tuesday's during 2nd Half of the Lunch Hour in Room 4
Members will learn bowling etiquette and safety, bowling terms and basic bowling skills. The Bowling Club is open to all Kearney High students. Our service project will be to help with the Special Olympics events at the Big Apple.
